The www.cdc.gov site is a comprehensive site of all of the divisions that make up the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The site is chock-full of news, announcements, upcoming events, fact sheets on health topics, publications, statistics, and the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
National Center for Health Statistics
Part of the CDC, the National Center for Health Statistics' web site provides downloadable PDF files on wide variety of health statistics. In addition, the site makes available agency publications and provides information on NCHS initiatives and other activities.
National Institute of Justice
The National Institute of Justice (NIJ), the research arm of the Department of Justice, was created to support research, evaluation and demonstration programs, the development of technology and national and international information dissemination. The web site, www.ojp.usdoj.gov/nij, provides extensive descriptions of the Institute's programs, funding information, downloadable publications, a news archive and a list of NIJ-related links (including a link to the Partnerships Against Violence Network).
Office of Minority Health

The Office of Women's Health's web site is a broad-based link for women's health information. At this site, there is federal and private sector information about women's health for the public, health care professionals, medical researchers, educators, and the media.
