Whom Shall I Fear:
A Spiritual Journey of a Battered Woman (Atlanta,
GA)
Lavon Morris-Grant never thought of herself as a victim of
domestic violence. But in 1996, her husband shot her four
times in front of their children and then killed himself.
She is a survivor, with bullets still lodged in her body,
and she wants to share her story in the hope that it might
help others. Ms. Grant has spent the past few years healing
emotionally and physically from the wounds of domestic violence.
She has a strong and open relationship with her children and
works vigilantly to minimize their emotional scars. She chronicled
her experience of domestic abuse in her book Whom Shall
I Fear: A Spiritual Journey of a Battered Woman. Ms.
Morris-Grant is a native of New Jersey, and a graduate of
New Jersey City University with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
