Dr. Wyatt will serve as the opening keynote speaker for the conference. She is a professor of psychiatry and behavioral science at UCLA and associate director of the UCLA AIDS Institute. She is also a sex therapist in private practice and a recognized authority on violence against women. She manages over ten million dollars in research grants worldwide from the National Institute of Mental Health. The author of more than 100 professional publications and books, including Stolen Women: Reclaiming Our Sexuality, Taking Back Our Lives , she has appeared on national television networks and had her work profiled in many magazines, including Essence , Ebony , Self , Good Housekeeping , Cosmopolitan , and Vogue . Her most recent book is No More Clueless Sex: Ten Secrets to a Sex Life that Works for Both of You , co-authored with her husband, obstetrician/gynecologist Lewis Wyatt, MD. She has received numerous awards and honors for her scientific accomplishments, mentoring, and teaching.
