Ms. Craig-Taylor will serve as a panelist for the discussion entitled, History of Grassroots Organizing in the Domestic Violence Movement and Civil Rights Movement: Parallels for Engaging and Mobilizing the Community, which is scheduled for the morning of Monday, March 19, 2007 . Ms. Craig-Taylor is a professor of law at North Carolina Central University . She also serves as advisor for the North Carolina Central Law Journal. She serves in the Leadership of the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. She also works as a coordinator with the ABA Commission on Domestic Violence to host conferences for Integrating Issues of Domestic Violence into Law School Curriculums. She is a member of the N.C. Bar Association and the Alabama Bar Association. She serves on the executive board for Planned Parenthood of North Carolina. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from the University of Alabama in 1980 and her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Alabama in 1985. She was awarded an LL.M. from Columbia University in 1994 and she is currently a candidate for a J.S.D. from Columbia .
Professor Craig-Taylor was a partner in England & Bivens, Attorneys at Law. She served as a judicial clerk to the Alabama Supreme Court. She has held teaching positions at the following institutions: University of Tennessee (1991-1993); teaching fellow Columbia University 1993-1994; Assistant Prof at the University of Florida 1995-1998; Associate Prof at the University of Florida 1998-2000. She is currently a full Professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law.
