Dr. Linner Ward Griffin

Dr. Griffin will facilitate the plenary-panel discussion entitled "Community Mobilization Models," which is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, March 20, 2007 . Linner Ward Griffin has an extensive background in social work practice with individuals and families in mental health, health, and geriatric settings. She has published widely in the areas of elder abuse/elder maltreatment, adult protective services, and organ transplantation. She has presented training about elder maltreatment among African Americans and adult protective services in many States. Dr. Griffin is a member of statewide task forces on aging service programming, rural interdisciplinary medical practice, and public health in North Carolina . She also serves on several statewide inter-university planning boards in gerontology. Dr. Griffin is a certified conflict mediator, who has conducted training throughout the State of North Carolina.
