DVAAC Steering Committee Member Joyce Thomas will be inducted as a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing (AAN) on November 11th, 2007.

Campbell co-wrote Thomas’ letter of nomination with Phyllis Sharps, Ph.D., RN, professor at John Hopkins University.

In addition to recognizing Thomas’ accomplishments in nursing, AAN Fellows Campbell and Sharps commended her contributions to IDVAAC.

The Academy is comprised of 1,500 accomplished nursing leaders with various backgrounds in education, management, practice, and research. Being a fellow not only recognizes one’s achievements, but enables members to work closely with other leaders to address policy issues.
